Flodesk has done it AGAIN! But this time, they’re serving every email marketer, not just their own Flodesk customers.
Flodesk has officially taken a bite of the AI-pie, and they really left no crumbs. Flodesk Studio is their brand new AI-powered email design app.
I’m a Flodesk Partner so I admit I’m proudly partial to everything they do. But trust me… this really isn’t just like any other AI tool. And it wasn’t built to be another launch assistant, copilot, or helper that hands the creative work to the machine. It was built to support human design through AI acceleration.
So while tools like ChatGPT and Claude can help you create emails, Flodesk Studio is built to turn your crazy cool ideas into beautiful, on-brand campaigns that are ready to send immediately. This means you can automatically design gorgeous, branded emails without tweaking code or moving between tools just to send one email.
Flodesk Studio can really be broken down into three steps:
I’m currently using Flodesk Studio while it’s in beta, and it’s just so good I had to write a blog post about it.
But this post isn’t meant to be a tutorial. Frankly, it’s so straight-forward you won’t really need a how-to guide.
Instead, this blog post is meant to showcase just how supportive this app is to your business’ email marketing.
Flodesk.com and Flodesk Studio are separate platforms. Flodesk Studio is built on entirely new infrastructure so the Flodesk team can innovate faster.
If you’re a Flodesk.com user, Flodesk Studio won’t disrupt anything about your current Flodesk experience. It exists to simply elevate your current email marketing experience with Flodesk.
The features you love most about Flodesk.com – their blocks, layouts, and templates, quick edits, built-in brandings, and more – are included in Flodesk Studio too. And while the layout to change your email’s colors, fonts, etc. looks slightly different (for now), the ease and usability of it all is extremely straightforward.
First, I started with one of their one-sentence, pretty basic prompts just to see its potential with literally zero lift, “Create a flash sale email. 30% off for 24 hours only. Make it urgent and exciting.”
And I was instantly shocked at the result. I actually got great results in seconds. It pulled my brand colors and fonts and gave me three email options with eye-catching design and copy that I’d actually use.

Flodesk Studio is setup just like their email marketing platform so editing the email was quick and easy. I changed the main graphic’s details in just a few clicks!

Flodesk Studio thinks like an email marketer. So BOTH the design/layout and copy actually catered to my sales-focused prompt.
When it comes to sales emails, the design matters but from personal experience, the copy is vital to the success of any shop campaign.
Not only did the copy feel polished, but the layout felt very intentional. The spacing, hierarchy, imagery, and calls-to-action all worked together. It didn’t feel like AI had simply dumped words into an email template. It felt like someone had considered how people actually read emails.
And honestly? That’s what surprised me the most.
Most AI tools are incredible at generating ideas. But there’s usually a gap between the idea and the finished product. You copy the text into your email platform. Then you spend the next thirty minutes adjusting spacing, swapping fonts, changing colors, replacing graphics, resizing buttons, and making everything actually look good.
Flodesk Studio skips that entire middle step.
Well actually… because I’m a Flodesk.com user, I was able to skip multiple steps!
I hit export and because my Flodesk account is linked, it quickly populated into my emails and I was able to test and send as usual!
After a few successful emails, I started getting curious. What would happen if I prompted with a different writing style, tried a different email type, or even acted like I was in a different industry.
Some results were stronger than others, but none were inherently bad. And every single time I made a prompt, I never felt like I was fighting the software.
If I didn’t love something, I could regenerate it. If I liked the direction but wanted to tweak it, I could edit it in seconds. Nothing felt locked in or risky to change.
I think this is one of the biggest differences between Flodesk Studio and other AI tools.
Normally, once you’ve committed to a layout, changing directions feels expensive. You almost don’t want to experiment because you’ve already invested so much time.
With Flodesk Studio, experimenting becomes the very fun part!
Since Flodesk Studio is still in beta, I naturally had a few questions before diving in. Chances are, you might be wondering the same things, so I’ve rounded up some of the most common questions (and answers!) below.
After spending time inside Flodesk Studio, I completely understand the hype around this new tool. It’s fast, intuitive, and it isn’t intimidating.
Flodesk Studio has made me excited about sending emails again. Sending marketing emails now feels less like a chore and more like a fun assignment.
Whether you’re someone who sends one email a month or someone who lives inside your email marketing platform every single day, Flodesk Studio lowers the barrier to creating emails that look great.
If Flodesk Studio is this awesome in beta testing, I’m genuinely excited to see what’s next!
Until then, I’ll be using Flodesk Studio to create affiliate program emails, my new template educational series, and my Black Friday emails!
